I Fish For Hawgs
I have fished for muskies for over 45 years and they continue to both
inspire me and frustrate me. They are reported to be the fish of 10,000
casts, meaning you may have to make that many before you are lucky enough
to even see one let alone put on the in the boat! My first C. D. (Living
In The North Country), contains several songs dedicated to my favorite
fish. I simply had to put a muskie song on this C.D. as well! Enjoy!
I Fish for Hawgs
I keep a close watch on my sanity
I keep my hooks as sharp as they can be
I don't let long hours of nothing get to me
They look like logs I fish for Hawgs
They got razor teeth, forked tails, and evil eyes
And everything that swims around em they despise
Well they can turn a good man into telling lies
They look like logs I fish for Hawgs
They got a way that keeps me coming back
The time you spend for them most folks can't hack
May take a hundred hours till they attack
They look like logs I fish for Hawgs
The other day my wife she said to me
It’s either fish for them or set me free
I hope that in her new life she'll be happy
They look like logs I fish for Hawgs
Well 69'11"s the current goal
A fish like that would probably break your pole
But you can bet for her most folks would sell their soul
They look like logs, I fish for Hawgs, by sunken bogs, I fish for Hawgs,
some people jog, but I fish for Hawgs.
